Salute!

Just look at the pictures. If you have questions, please ask.

The engine was rebuilt (luckily, the engine itself was not touched by the "tuner") with the following specs:
B16A1 0,25mm over
SRP forged pistons
Eagle H-beam rods
Cometic headgasket
Nology ignition wires
Skunk2 camgears
Walbro Fuelpump & RC injectors
Precision SC54 Turbo with external Tial Wastegate and GReddy BOV
GReddy Profec Boostcontroller
Spearco intercooler
Mocal oilcooler

I was aware about who had done the Turbo build prior to buying the car. So I knew that quality work was not to be expected, but I didn't expect THAT.

First (and only, lol) pictures after the CRX was unloaded off the trailer:

I then made a checkup and discovered the first things...

Ruined:

Chaotic setup...

A first taste of how professional the car was treated there:

Open wastegate, not street legal:

The air filter:

A lot of bolts were missing around the engine bay, sometimes replaced with entirely wrong ones. Like here at the timing belt cover:

That's the fuel pressure sensor...

Wiring of the coolant fans (including lots of dust from the grinder):

Lastly I will show you the so-called "three inch stainless steel catback":

Look at how close the catalytic converter is to the ground. The coilover suspension was set to maximum height, otherwise the cat would touch the ground:

That's all for now.

I'm not going to part the car! nono It's a rust free summer ride and I will rebuild the turbo setup clean and reliable.
There are many more pictures...
I'm looking forward to feedback from you guys.

I bought the car like that. Believe me, had I given my car to this "shop" and would have gotten it back like this, posting a thread with pictures would certainly not be the only thing I would have done.

However, if entirely done by the "shop" the price for a setup like this (including a rebuild of the engine with forged internals, reinforced clutch and more) is currently about 6900€.

I will post more pictures in the coming days. This shop must not be allowed to attract more customers.

Must be a joke. How can you did a terrible job like that and pretend you're a tuner.

Good luck with the car. Are you going to redone something ?

Yes, everything Turbo related will be rebuilt Smile

These are pictures from detaching the front bumper.
Like I said, there were bolts missing around the front area, same with the front bumper:

These were the only bolts "securing" the bumper. A little bit of misfortune, maybe bad wind flow, and the bumper would have been ripped off the car. Same on the other side:

Once the bumper was off, look at the intercooler.. Recognize the bolt type? Rolleyes By the way, the IC was mounted with this single bolt only.

When draining the coolant and checking for antifreeze... None mixed in:

Oh well, it's a summer car, right? Confused

Took the intercooler off (went fast, lol) to have a look at the Turbo setup. This is the most common feature in builds of the "shop", the downpipe is welded to the hotside of the Turbo:

A closer look at it, please note that usually the downpipe and Turbo are bolted together for maximum tightness, so no pressure leaks will occur. Welding this makes it prone for pressure leaks, even more if what you do can barely called "welding":

The shop has also modified the exhaust manifold, as you can see:

Intercooler piping, a real masterpiece:

Remember that movie... Snakes on a pl... garage?!

Looking inside the piping. It's the same with all the piping work the "shop" does, burrs inside of every pipe:

Like this:

Optimum air flow, eh? Facepalm

In the beginning, I wondered why the radiator hung loose in the engine bay. It was bolted on at the top, but did not sit in its brackets:

I discovered why, because there are NO brackets anymore, they were simply cut off:

Huh

Lastly, I couldn't believe what I saw:

Instead of thinking about how to place the Turbo effectively, the "shop" just cut a piece out of this front brace... It's not street legal, let alone safe, to cut pieces out of this brace. If it fails, you have a major problem.

More pictures to come... Sac
