L'histoire d'une petite prépa :
Hi folks and welcome to my site!
I live in Sweden and own a Mazda 323 GT-R, the car Mazda built for homologation to the WRC in 1992. Only about 2500 cars were made.
Stock GT-R have 185 bhp/240 nm.
My GT-R has a competition engine wich is totaly rebuilt by a swedish company called STT (
www.stt.se)(The same guys who built Mazda´s factory engines), with forged internals (some forged originals just balanced), raised compression, modified VJ23 turbo it punches 304bhp/460nm with 36mm inlet restrictor (304bhp @ 1.1 bar!).
This year the power figures will be alot higer I hope, I will be removing the air restrictor from the turbo inlet (inlet will change from 36 to 53mm) and remap the ECU. A new intercooler is mounted(EVO VI) along with new intercooler piping, the Greddy Type R BOV is just gorgeous :-) Exhaust system is new (3 inch PLUS 2 inch from turbo and wastegate joins to 3 inch). GReddy oil catch tank and EGT meter is installed, the exhaust gas is surprisingly low, more boost needed! Maybe I´ll change my boost and fuel pressure gauge to GReddy one´s too...
The suspension i have is Proflex (Belgium company) coilovers adjustable in just about everything :-)
Rims are superlightweight OZ Razing in dimension 6.5/15". Even my bird can lift all 4 at the same time!
A FIA approved roll cage is installed, and are off course the main thing inside, a carbon/kevlar seat with a three inch, six point harness keeps me in place when cornering!
I´ve got a fibre-glass hood and bootlid, but they are not mounted, after all, I don´t want to be to light :-) But maybe i´ll end up with a hood in carbon :-D
The downside with this car is the gearbox, I hope I have solved the problem for now, just need to add a oil cooler to this setup: Mazdaspeed gears and axels (straight cut 3rd), standard synchros, reinforced casing (see pics), "secret" mods inside (don´t ask!) and Mazdaspeed transfer carrier, we´ll see how long
