Hello à tous, sur un autre forum j'ai vu un type qui parlait de "B20" du coup, curieux, j'ai demandé ce que c'était (connaissais les B16, B18 etc... mais pas de "B20"), le mec m'a répondu:
DjSpeed a écrit :Hadoq a écrit :wow B 20 Vtec ? wich engine is that one ? I knew the B16a series, the B16b from the CTR EK9, the B18 series from the integra R and the civic sedan, but never heard of a B20, didn't you mean K20 -the actual engine wich also was in the previous civic and integra)
anyway I'd be happy to see some pics of your ride, it sounds pretty cool.
Nope, I meant B series. As in the 99 CRV block. Swaped in a 99 Civic Si head, and bam, ya got yourself some B20VTEC []
Here's a picture of the setup. It's in a 90 Civic Si hatch thats got 248K miles on the chassis. Probably only 40-50K on the motor. As stated, its a CRV block, Si head w/TypeR cams. GSR distibutor, obx header threw gutted cats/ stock exhast. AEM cold air intake/Skunk 2 intake mainfold, hasport mount kit with hydro tranny conversion for the 99 Civic Si tranny Im running. Tranny is matched up with a 9lb flywheel and a 6 puck sprung hub clutch (try saying that 3 times fast). And a custom chipped ecu using a comp. out of an LS and an apexi vtec controller. Full front end suspension/brake swap donated also from a LS integra. LS Mesh wheels wrapped in some okay tires (ie cheap [:P]) Cost for swap is still under 6K and I'm running high 13's I'd say. I haven't gotten an offical time yet, still waiting for some dry weather and the track to open.
I'm a honda kinda guy, notice my 90 civic and the 99 CRV B2.0L AWD and 2002 Accord 3.0L V6 Vtec in the background []
a Side note, the 2002 CRV is the K series AWD swap that is used in the game, and my next intentions to figure out how to do, but that must wait for some extra coin for that one. My 2 month old baby boy has put that on hold. Maybe in 15 more years I can do it with him. [] Until then, this one's cheap and fun!
